We are so excited! Charles and I travelled the 6 hours to the capitol city of Quito to meet our parents at the airport on Monday at midnight. God gave them a very safe trip and we picked them up with much excitement in the air! We travelled on Tuesday back to our town, Puyo, arriving in the late afternoon. We have been visiting Sr. Domingo and his family in the jungle of Canelos for two years now. Both he and his wife, Sra Laura, are in their 60’s. This family is among one of the poorest in the jungle. Although they work extremely hard each day in the jungles, they only make about $30 a month. On a recent visit to their home, they asked many questions about our home in Puyo, wondering aloud what is was like, as they had never been in our home before. I hand-washed clothes last night, so I was able to sleep a few minutes longer this morning than usual. That was a blessing! I cooked us some eggs for breakfast, washed up dishes. We packed our backpacks, and headed to the Ranchera, walking 30 minutes to get there. We're going to Puyupungo today for service. The Ranchera was so full today, we barely found a seat!
