Crying Out With A Passion!
Posted On 03/18/2008 09:23:45 by Revelation91

Psa 77:1 To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph. I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.
Psa 77:2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.
Psa 77:3 I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.

These verse's are something we need to remember when we are "troubled". We cry out to God and sometimes we are not comforted. But, we need to remember that God heard Asaph when he prayed this. Listen healing for your soul my not come swiftly but God will answer the prayers of a broken heart when the time comes. You MUST be broken for God to mold you together and make what He wants out of you.

I have continuously gone in prayer and thought that my prayers would be answered within the time I have prayed the prayer. Does my faith take a toll? Yes it does. But, the point is that we can not stop praying. It does not matter if we are in a hole. Sometimes we look around us and find the prayers of others being answered but, the best thing we do is judge others and ourselves? I do not think so! Do not get me wrong, there are times where prayers are answered by God very quickly.

Being a person that prays with compassion/passion for something makes a difference in your spiritual life! If you can deny this flesh and give into what God has for you, it does not matter if it is crying, speaking in tongues, running, shouting, jumping, or even testifying! God will have something ready for you!

I do not think that David or the Prophets knew about what God would do in there life. I do not think that when Samuel cried and wept for Sual, that he would know that God would tell him to anoint the son of Jesse "Daivd". We need a broken heart we need a hunger for God and His Word! Oh, How long will this untoward generation refuse the fullness of God? I have done this also, I have refused a good time in prayer with these stupid ideas of a "good hobbie".

I know that this might be scrambled right now but, I need to connect to someone right now. God has so much for us then these warm fuzzies we get at Church! To deny the fullness of God is to deny the Blessing He has for us, to deny the calling he has for us, to deny the work of our prayer life, the work he has done in our life now. Even Jesus prayed with passion and cried out to this generation also. That we might be sanctified through the truth!

Even at is troubled hour, Jesus said "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
What powerful words that in His passing He could say that with all honesty. We need to get "pluged in" to the spirit and let our own ambitions become a vapor in the wind. When we can pray and let it come from the heart we can achieve something greater then the normal feelings. Being able to really get a hold of God. To make a impact in our own spirit. Please unharden you're hearts, and make a path-way for God to have His will in youre own spiritual lives.

There is 47 times that you will find cried unto the Lord in the Bible. With all this, I believe I myself need to practice the fruits of the spirit (Galatains 5:22, 23). And work on surrendering it "ALL" to God. I pray this has helped atleast one person if not myself. Have a great week, God Bless.
