People often ask the Question, "Why do pentecostal girls wear that or do that?" Well the answer is because it is against God's divine word to do other than that.
Most people say that God is not worried about what you wear, as long as your heart is right.
And the answer to that is YES God is worried about that you wear.
I. Timothy 2:9 says that a women should adorn ( dress ) themselves in modest (decent or pure ) apparel; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or even costly arrays.
I. Peter 3:2 says that when you are adorning(dressing), don't dress yourself with plaiting of hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel.
Study these scriptures very carefully, because the more you do, the more you will realize that God does care about what a girl wears.
Immodest apparel represented the presence of a lustful spirit and a desire to display the body and to attract the opposite sex by lust.
An immodest girl is a strong temptation and enticement for a guy. An example is David, an awesome guy in the bible. God said that he was a man after His own heart. The few times that he failed God, one of them was his lust for a woman.
Study (~II Samuel 11:2-~)
And soon after he came to a great level of repentance and sorrow to God.
It's even worse today. A guy can't even walk into Wal-mart without seeing a girl/women half naked on a magazine or TV.
For a guy I think is one of the hardest battles in life to overcome--at least thats my personal opinion.
I. John 2:16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world.
When a guy looks at a girl immodestly, he is not of the Father. WOW!
Hardcore.
I strongly believe that girls, you have the power to send a guy to N/A for dressing in a way that a guy can lust over you because of that scripture that I just read to you.
And you might say, "Well it isn't my problem that a guy can't control his lusting problems." Well I've got something to tell you. It is your problem. That's why God is so hard on the way a girl should dress in the Bible.
PANTS
And now we move on the subject of why pentecostal girls don't wear PANTS.
This is a little hard to make people believe, because the scripture that we get this from is in the Old Testament (Deut. 22:5) and a lot of people don't believe in the standards that they went by in that time. But if that was the case, we would have to take out the Ten commandments because they came from the Old Testament.
The way "To God'' and the way "of sacrifice" is a little different.
For example, the reason why people don't marry their kin folk; that's in the Old testament.
Why we don't have sex with animals; that's in the old testament.
Different things that this world still holds but has lost sight of the things that are to hard for them.
When Jesus died on the cross, the veil, which hid behind the presence of the Almighty God, the veil ripped from top to bottom giving us the opportunity to enter into God's presence anytime we want.
But the standards are still the same.
Ok now we will move on with scripture.
Deuteronomy 22:5 says, "The women shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God."
I want to bring to your attention the sentence, " That all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
Let me bring you to a New testament scripture for this one.
Revelation 21:8:
Its says that the abominable shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: witch is the second death. (HELL)
WOW thats crazy stuff.
I bet this is making you think.
"MAKE~UP"
Paul teaches women to aborn themselves with shamefacedness.
Shamefacedness means "respect, reverence, self restraint, modest or bashfulness toward man; not being bold or forward."
Make-up is obviously designed to attract the opposite sex, right?
In both the Old and New Testament painting the face is associated with brazenness, forwardness, seduction, and prostitution.
Painting of the eyelids was to enhance sexual appeal - its nothing new. It was done in 3000 B.C. in Egypt.
Proverbs 6:25:
"Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids." The scripture goes on to identify this women as an evil women, strange women, a whorish women and an adulteress.
Painting of the face is only a purpose of seductiveness. Whether you think it is or not.
II Kings 9:3:
Iehu was anointed king of Israel. He was given mission to destroy the family of Ahab.
Jezebel ( Ahabs wife ) heard about it. The bible says she painted her face in an attempt to seduce him, a means of enticing him. But it didn't work, and she was killed.
Jeremiah 4:30:
The women that would put paintings and ornaments---ok God looked at them as backslidden.
It all falls into the scripture I gave you a while ago.
I. John 2:16:

So if you are a part of any of these things, you are not of God.
