Praising God Through The Storms: Alot of different elements can trigger storms. Storms can range anywhere from mild to severe to catastrophic and the damage from these storms can be moderate to severe to life threatening. There are two types of storms: Physical storms are produced by rain, wind, hail, and ect... the other is Spiritual storms which are produced by the lack of prayer, worship, praise, and not filtering what comes into our lives: Galatians 5: 19 - 21 talks about the works of the flesh and these are things we need to be extremely careful of and filter out of our hearts. In May of 2006 during revival, Brother Keith Clark was preaching and during this anointed preaching, God convicted and delivered me from smoking. I had smoked for over 30 years and sometimes I smoked 2 to 2 and a half packs a day. This is when one of my Spiritual storms occured. Satan got mad that night and has been on my back since. Sometimes I feel like poor Job. Satan has tried so many times to persuade me to start smoking again. I prayed and prayed and finally told the devil I was not going to give him the satisfaction of laughing at me, and that I was going to hold strong to the commitments that I had made to the Lord. Well... Satan pulled some more tricks out and yet another storm was brewing, this time, he took something away from me and my family, Our daughter, Amy,... was taken away from us not through a physical death, but from a seperation, a spiritual death, as my daughter left home on July 24, 2006. ( Amy was married on August 25, 2006... gave birth to our first grand-daughter, Ava Nicole on Feb. 1, 2007 ). Amy to this day has yet to turn her life over to God. I will continue to pray for her and I will continue to praise God through this storm and any other storm or storms that may come my way. I believe these storms are my faith builders.
