Let's say McCain loses the General Election. That could happen pretty readily. Now let's add to this toxic brew another variable. I assume that Congress will be taking a harder left turn (i.e., assuming a greater majority in both houses).
What general outcomes can we then expect from the new liberal Democrat Administration and what specific outcomes can we predict with a fair degree of assurance?
I think, in general terms, we are going to see a global retreat on the War against the Islamo Fascist. They will not end up thinking, "Gee, those Americans sure can be peaceful, peace-loving noble and good people." Instead, I think they will conclude "See? We were right. The Great Satan is vile and corrupted from the inside out. The paper tiger has once again fled in fear." I think terrible consequences flow from that...including dire consequences for Israel
I also think we will get taxed more heavily and government will be more overtly in our face and in our wallets.
The Judicial Branch will be taking a turn to the left, too, with Obama or Shrillary making the nominations, and an even more far left-leaning Congress (with no judicial filibusters to impede them) rubber stamping any and all leftist nominees.
Specifically, I believe we will see the roll-back of the Bush tax cuts. We will see the hyper-over-regulation of the NSA Program and the pruning of the PATRIOT Act. The borders will be effectively opened more fully and intentionally by legislation creating incentives for exactly that.
Against all of that, what will Conservative and or rational Republicans be able to do to stem the tide?
Not much, I fear.
Nothing left to do at this point but pray.

I am not sure which was to vote at this time. A lot may depend on who the Vice-Presidential candidate will be. I am not happy with either side right now.

Look at Cheney. He has been the quiet VP, unlike those of the recent past. I say that to say this. I would not vote for a set of canidates based on their VP.
I had my fill of the Hillbilly's (Hillary/Bill's names run together) that I can stand already. That name disgraced the office of the Presidency already. I can not allow his room mate to do the same.
Obama, come on get real. Do we really want this man as president? Look at his personal life and the stand on social things, thats the nicest way I can say that. There are two areas you would wnt to look at not just the obvious one all have spoken about. Look at the stand Michelle Obama takes on social status. Again being gracious there.
McCain, man he is OLD to become president. The last president to set the age record was one of the best we have had in some time. Made some mistakes sure as all Presidents are truly expected to do.
