I have been following the reports of the fundamentalist Mormon Sect that has been raided in Eldorado.

I have already read the book "Escape" by Carolyn Jessup after it first came out.  She escaped along w/her 8 children by none else but a miracle.

Her book described a life so horrible, that women were either going mentally ill and some ready to take their lives.  I had to put the book down several times in order to digest the unbelievable lives that these women had to endure.

I feel so sorry for these women and children that are coming out of the compound.  They look so holy and so innocent, but are enduring tortous lives.  Let's pray for these women, that they find salvation, and a God who really truly loves them.

Well, there has been noticed that there are alot of pregnant girls in the 416 group of kids.

Also, you need to read the book "Escape"...true story of a woman escaping from Warren Jeffs right hand man.  She just escaped a few years ago.  She is helping w/the situation in Eldorado....and hoping to see if any of her stepdaughters (fromt the other wives) are there.

Read the book first before making assumptions.

No you don't understand.  I remember Warren Jeffs being shown on America's Most Wanted before he was finally caught.

Carolyn Jessop is one of the main witnesses against Warren Jeffs during his trials.  He is the head of this cult.......and has been going thru legal proceedings for several months at least.

That is why I say.....you need to get the facts straight.  Would you want your 13 year old daughter being forced to marry a guy in his 50s and older?  These girls have no choice.

Check the facts.....before you respond.  Otherwise, if you don't .....I won't respond.....as I have been following the case of Warren Jeffs for a long time now.

Look this is it.  You are reading a media report.  I told you to check facts along w/the Warren Jeffs case.  You are not doing it.

You just don't like it when no one agrees with you.  When you look at the facts, and not some media or internet report.....don't correspond.  You must go back clear into the Warren Jeffs trial....Eldorado is just an extension of the whole situation.

If I may view what we have on this place.

#1 Q-Why did they raid this place?
     A- To find the caller of a crime

#2 Q-Can they just take these children?
     A-Depends.  If there is a number of young girls pregnant under the age of consent (17 in most states) then one would find this odd and want to pursue this. It would take interviews and the such prior to tkaing children in to protective custody without Probable Cause.  resonible Suspicion is enough to detain them, but not enough to move them to foster care.

#3 Q- Is the handeling of this a travesity?
     A- Yes, it has potential to set case law that allows the authority that reigns to invoke marshall law over religious freedom. 

#4 Q- Do I agree with what is happening in that camp?
     A- In no way.  I do believe however, they are covered by the same Constitution that you and I are and have certain civil rights that I beleive in my reading on this event were violated.  If a law has been violated the perp should be brought to justice and let the hammer fall where it will.

We need less government not more.  We have allowed to much now.  We need not have a law that bans smoking.  Let the non smokers boycott the places that allow the smoking and then let the people make their own rules governing the smoking.  This is just an example.  I am a non smoker obviously, but I do not think it is the position of the government to tell me I can smoke or not, or even where I can smoke or not if I so choose.  That should be left to the owners of the establishments.

Look ot in California what they are doing to homeschooling, and tlaking about private Christian schools being refused as well.

Look out case law will get you.  They do not have to pass a law making something wrong, they can just get a few cases under their belts and it becomes a way of doing business.

I can agree to some point with you one the case.....but, we cannot let pedophiles hide behind religion for their crimes.

The DNA analysis is being done now.  The case is too see if a girl under the age of 16 had a baby with an adult man.  Most of these men will be over 50 years old.  That is statutory rape.  Because a minor cannot make that decision.

This would also be done if a girl had a baby with any adult man anywhere in the U.S. who doesn't even belong to a cult.

The fact of the matter is:  if a woman wants to participate in polygamy.........she needs to be at least 18 years old.....and chooses to do so.  Not a 13 year old being forced to marry someone like that.

Then why did the judge order DNA samples?  And why is the mothers of children under 4 going to be separated from them?  It is very much in the courts hands....so quit saying that it is illegal.  They are looking for the truth....and DNA brings the truth out in the open.  IT IS AGAINST THE LAW IN THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR A GIRL TO BE MARRIED UNDER THE AGE OF 16.  No religion can go around this.  Why do you think that we have sex offender laws??

Will you listen????  I am not talking about consentual adults....that is not the problem.  I am talking about girls 13-17 who are forced to marry 50+ year old men.  That is NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE in the U.S.

Plus, what you think doesn't count.  It is already in the courts w/judges making the decisions.

The legal system is going to take care so that they are doing everything correctly.

The problem is your both right from your particular angel. 

Larry is not syaing the guilty should not be punished, he is saying it needs to be done correctly. 

Your saying the guilty should be brought to justice.

He is just looking at a diffrent angel IMHO. BOth saying the same thign in all actuality.
