I heard someone say, God Bless America a few days ago.  I want God to bless America.  But, in watching the news I got thinking about God Bless America and I had to ask myself, Why would God want to bless this mess?
Sometimes other religions that dont even worship the one true God, have closer walks with their God than Americans do with the Lord Jesus Christ.  America is a mess in a lot of ways.  I love America but I honestly wonder why God would want to bless it and the stuff that goes on in America!

Remember Sodom and Gomorrah?  If one faithful man was found in it, God would have saved it.

Yes, I know that America has alot of faults, but, there is a church!  I believe that as long as there is a people who are willing to stand up............God will bless.  Because the U.S. is the best country that the church can have, in spite of all the problems.

God is still God.  I believe what he said and thats that.  He will bless this country so long as we remain friends with Isreal.  If we break our ties with Isreal then we are surely in trouble and wont be blessed.  Imagine where we would be without the hand of God protecting us.

I believe that God is blessing us partly because of Israel..........but, the main reason is that He has a church here, that is still pressuring our govt. and society  and reminding them that the church is still here in America.

I am so very thankful that God doesnt look at us like he did Sodom and Gomorah and destroy us.  He is a jealous God. The lost will go to a game and have more of a love for the game than for praising our Lord and Savior.  Some have more love for partying, clubing, drinking kinda like in the days Of Noah.  Some idolize sports figures, Nascar drivers, Rock stars,   Again, I am thankful we are not destroy for it.

Politically - there was alot of corruption in the U.S. as it is now.  Morally, yes........but, Israel didn't have anything to do with that.  American people themselves made the moral decisions even before Israel became a country again.

You raise up some good points, Larry. 

God will bless where there is a church that is vibrant.  In fact, the church world as a whole is showing more political muscle in the U.S., and has stopped even more moral decline.

Israel is not the same as it was before.  Most Jews have mixed blood lines........but, they still claim that heritage.  How many know what tribe they belong to?  I don't know.  Some do, as geneaolgy was really important to them.  Many didn't even know of their Jewish bloodline until WWII.

My personal belief (please don't jump over this - this is my PERSONAL belief) that the U.S. should stand behind Israel, as it was the original seed.  Some people may disagree.........to me, that is their opinion.  I won't argue.

Good post.  I don't think that people will be agreeing as everyone will have all sorts of opinions.
