Sister Claire that not true  other countries cultures are in the us wether u want to believe it or not and it is not againt the laws of the United Sates oF America. For example Germans. British, European  Spanish Make up the US cultures of today.There also is the native culture.

You need to read my post again.  Other cultures are allowed here, but if something in their culture is against our laws, like female circumcision (for example), underage marriages, etc......then those are illegal under our laws.  Anyone coming here to America must abide by our laws on our soil.  The only exception is that of Diplomats, and we are having alot of criminal activity with them.......the only thing that we can do there is to deport them when they commit crimes.

females do not want it. In the cultures, in which it is practiced, it is usually forced upon a girl (probably around 10 years old) with any sharp object (not sterilized) by a family member.

Many girls get very sick from the unsterilized object and many also die. It is forced mutilation.

I have a freind I went to school with she choose to have this medical procedure done because of a medical issue. I was shock at such a proceedure can take place . then I learn that in some countries it is forced upon women. She is living afull life has born 4 children. she was ok with it.the reson why for some is not the reson for all who have had this done. the point to clarify Claire it has been done in america . But our subject of this thread is the the sepcial report that put fclds in the media.

Well, it looks as if the kids are going back to their parents.  I am glad.  Before, I know that I was worried, and portrayed that on this forum.  But, there are guidelines in place now:

1)  Parenting classes

2)  CPS can check on kids unannounced.  And parents cannot take their child out of state or more than 100 miles without permission.

3)  Most importantly.............no girl can marry unless she is 18 years of age per church leadership at the ranch.

Some guidelines in place.  Maybe, it isn't the best, but better for the situation at hand.  I guess that we will see as the situation progresses, because these women do love their children, mostly it was abuse by older men.
