I don't know whether to laugh or take this seriously (Well, really both) I just read on MSNBC.com that in one neighborhood in Washington, DC that the police are having checkpoints in order to keep outsiders out because of like 8 murders in that neighborhood in the past week or so. It is a very violent neighborhool. Well, the ACLU is upset that it is going to be like a military zone. Huh? It is already a battle zone!!! These are just checkpoints like those for drunk driving, and if any suspicisions arise, then the police can check out the vehicle. If I lived in that neighborhood..........I would be glad that the police would be there. Whose side is the ACLU on? I think that it is the criminals side in this case.

American Civil Liberties Union. They are well known for taking the odd sides in cases.........even on the criminals side.....as their rights may be violated. They have been well known for taking the wrong side in the name of human or civil rights, instead of even victims rights. Really a wierd group.....but, with alot of money backing them.......and alot of power.

I don't know. Are martians civil? Well, actually, from what I hear- the ACLU isn't very civil either. I guess not since you haven't heard of them.
