My Friends,

Tonight, we can say with confidence the primary season is over, and the general election campaign has begun.

Each American faces a decision this election and the choice between my candidacy and Senator Obama's could not be more clear. This is a change election. But the choice is between the right change and the wrong change; between going forward and going backward.

The right change recognizes that many of the policies and institutions of our government have failed. The right kind of change will initiate widespread and innovative reforms in almost every area of government policy from energy to taxes to government spending and the military.

The right change will stop impeding Americans from doing what they have always done, overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.Today, I humbly ask you to join my campaign for the right change, as we move forward together as a nation.
The wrong change looks not to the future, but to the past for solutions that have failed us before and will surely fail us again. Like others before him, my opponent seems to think government is the answer to every problem. That's not change we can believe in.

My friends, we're not a country that would rather go back than forward. We're the world's leader, and leaders don't hide from history. They make history. If we're going to lead, we must reform a government that has lost its ability to help us do so.

I don't seek the presidency on the presumption I'm blessed with such personal greatness that history has anointed me to save my country in its hour of need. I seek the office with the humility of a man who cannot forget my country saved me. I assure you that if I'm elected president, the era of reform and problem solving will begin. From my first day in office, I'll work tirelessly to make America safe, prosperous and proud. And that, my friends, is the kind of change we need.

Sincerely,

John McCain

TAXES

McCain: ''No new taxes'' if elected. Twice opposed Bush's tax cuts, at first because he said they were tilted to the wealthiest and again because of the unknown costs of Iraq war. Now says those tax cuts, expiring in 2010, should be permanent. Proposes cutting corporate tax rate to 25 percent. Promises balanced budget in first term, says that is unlikely in his first year.

How about govt. health insurance, or promising health insurance for all Americans?  Because then, he can't promise no new taxes, because, taxes would have to be raised.

My dear friend Claire.

I am just going to encourage you with scripture.

Matt 6:33-34

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

You want knowledge seek your Holy Ghost Sis.  You will find that your Holy Ghost will recognize a kindered Spirit.

This has come to pass, it will soon be over and done with.  All is well my Sister.  All is well.

God is still God, he is in control.

Thanks Bro. G.   I have been in enough churches that split, and found out recently that a minister that I had known for years was involved in terrible sins, and the UPC had pulled his license.  That is more than enough problems for me, and I hate to see Apostolics fighting with each other.

As for Larry, I was fighting to keep garbage off the forum for the sake of minors and new converts.  Same w/Caston.

Whatever is going on behind the scenes, I do not care to know about, or get involved.  Many of you should remember that I am being treated as a post-cancer patient at the present time, and will be so for the next four years as I was diagnosed with an aggressive and incurable tumor last year.  Thank God, the docs think they got it all out..........but, there is a chance that it may return.  So, right now, I have enough on my plate, without worrying about what others are doing.

When a person has been diagnosed with a problem like that, life puts things more into perspective.  What battles to fight, and what battles to stay out of.

Unless, I see garbage on the forums like those I have fought before...........I rather stay out of others.  Why?  Because, these people do not go to my church.............I just correspond w/ them over the internet.

If you knew that you may have an incurable illness, or a short time to live...........how would you handled petty disagreements?

That sounds pretty good, especially the limiting of punitive damages awarded in medical lawsuits.

America, in my opinion, is too "lawsuit happy".  Those financial awards are then passed onto the patient.

Also, has anyone heard what he is for concerning medical care for non-US citizens.  We should also throw in Social Security, welfare, and taxes in this discussion.

Absolutely Claire.  You see What I have learned in my ministry is that I respect my brothers and sisters.  Even those that are not walking as close to God as I am.  Its only the grace of God that keeps me strong in my daily walk with him.

When a person loses something that they cherish so much or that causes them such hurt in the process they often become bitter, and even angry.

They know its not wise to be angry at God so the only thing they can do is make those around them as miserable as they are.

Indeed, if they had to experience the reality of a shortened life or even knowing when the clock would tick the last time they would surely treat others diffrent.

It is losing the thing they cherish the most, now they have no control over it, it creates pain, anguish, humiliation so difficult to bare they must make others loook bad in orde to make themselves look greater.  I have seen this happen over and over again in people lives.

The only way to overcome that is to continue to Love them inspite of the negativity and hatered. God heals all things.  Health is so hard to lsoe, its very close to us and means so much to us as it most precious.

Anyway, thanks for sharing Claire.  God Bless
