this part of the c.s. lewis wikipedia page. i'm going tp point out things here about his work.

The Chronicles of Narnia

The Mountains of Mourne
The Mountains of Mourne

The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels for children and is considered a classic of children's literature. Written between 1949 and 1954 and illustrated by Pauline Baynes, the series is Lewis' most popular work having sold over 100 million copies in 41 languages (Kelly 2006)(Guthmann 2005). It has been adapted several times, complete or in part, for radio, television, stage, and cinema. The series has been published in several different orders, and the preferred reading order for the series is often debated among fans; though Douglas Gresham has stated that Lewis preferred that they be read in "Narnian chronology", not the order in which they were published (Drennan 1999).

The books contain many allusions to Christian ideas which are easily accessible to younger readers; however, the books are not weighty, and can be read for their adventure, colour and richness of ideas alone. Because of this, they have become favourites of children and adults, Christians and non-Christians. In addition to Christian themes, Lewis also borrows characters from Greek and Roman mythology as well as traditional British and Irish fairy tales. Lewis reportedly based his depiction of Narnia on the geography and scenery of the Mourne Mountains and "that part of Rostrevor which overlooks Carlingford Lough" (Guardian Unlimited 2005). Lewis cited George MacDonald's Christian fairy tales as an influence in writing the series.

The Chronicles of Narnia present the adventures of children who play central roles in the unfolding history of the fictional realm of Narnia, a place where animals talk, magic is common, and good battles evil. In the majority of the books, children from our world find themselves transported to Narnia by a magical portal. Once there, they are quickly involved in setting some wrong to right with the help of the lion Aslan, the central character of the series.

Lewis wrote a number of works on Heaven and N/A. One of these, The Great Divorce, is a short novella in which a few residents of N/A take a bus ride to Heaven, where they are met by people from Earth. The proposition is that they can stay (in which case they can call the place where they had come from "Purgatory", instead of "Hell"): but many find it not to their taste. The title is a reference to William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and N/A, a concept that Lewis found a "disastrous error" (Lewis 1946, p. vii). This work deliberately echoes two other more famous works with a similar theme: the Divine Comedy of Dante Aligheri, and Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress.

READ THIS A BOOK ABOUT A DEMON?

Another short work, The Screwtape Letters, consists of letters of advice from a senior demon, Screwtape, to his nephew Wormwood, on the best ways to tempt a particular human and secure his damnation.

LAST PART OF HIS LAST NOVEL BEFORE HE DIED, "SUPPOSE CHRISTIAN AS HE IS TOLD TO BE, WOULD WRITE A PAGAN WORK"

Lewis's last novel was Till We Have FacesCupid and Psyche from the unusual perspective of Psyche's sister. It is deeply concernedwith religious ideas, but the setting is entirely pagan, and the connections with specific Christian beliefs are left implicit.

THIS WHY I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS MAN AND HIS WORK.

I have tried to read these works, but my Spirit was offended and I put them down.  Anyone can say they are christian, does not mean they follow Christ.

And on another note, I'm absolutely appauled that you guys are attacking a man who isn't even around to defend himself. That's pretty low. Let the man rest in peace, and stop trying to sully his name. That's like if one of you dies and someone tries to convince people that you were really a child molester during life.

You people are low.

what attack, I don't feel it in my Spirit to read the books is not an attack.
If the Holy Ghost warns us of something, should we not head the warning?
Sorry if that offended you

It's not the "Holy Ghost" that's telling you jack. It's yourself, and you just tell yoursef that it's God to justify it. You people are in here calling his work, and ultimately, the man "UnChristian". THe man is DEAD. Let him REST.

How about after you two die, I spread the wor that you're pedophiles? Would that be cool?

The Golden Compass is a childrens movie that was released in Dec. 2007.  The movie is done by an atheist.  It is based off a series of childrens book that in the last book the children Kill God.    Read the reviews.  I am having technical difficulties here and cant seem to copy the reviews.  You will be shocked at what you read.  All geared towards your kids.

I won't disagree about the Golden Compass. But that also wasn't written by C.S. Lewis.

You don't "waste words" with anyone. Primarily because all you know how to do is cut and paste. But because I don't agree with you, you try to label me as "not right with God". not surprising, because every "Christian" that is small minded and bigoted try the same manuever. And you know what? It doesn't water. You know why my spirit is "hostile"? Because you come into these forums and paste articles aout nonsensicle issues to back your own preferences and agendas, but when told to back your statement from your own knowledge instead of pasting random articles, you can't. Why? Because you don't have the actual knowledge to defend yourself. So I will say here just like I have in other threads: A preacher should be smarter than this.
