However our Fore Fathers believed, they did believe in one thing............the freedom of religion without persecution like it was in the old countries.

I was sure it was more like this: "They wanted to ensure that no single religion could make the claim of being the official, national religion, such as England had." Which means I was almost certain that the Founding Fathers believed that no religion should be able to take over the government.

It was kinda both. Religious freedoms without persecution, as well as keeping the government out of the CHurch. It was never intended to keep the Church out of the governement. THe division of CHurch and State was not a division of state and church. Anyway GOd Bless

I'm really not exactly following you. Considering our Constitution says something along the lines of: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." Which means that Congress should not uphold another religion above another and that you know, we have freedom of religion.

Young lady I must say your intelligience, is far beyond your years. But debating such a silly subject, as you are isnt getting you anywhere, I m sorry but the main reason, this country is in the shape it is in, is for one person arguing their views against another. Instead of finding topics and ideas to back your arguement, how about searching for something to agree on. Such as Homosexuality and Gay marriage is wrong, and unless Gay marriage is performed in the courtroom, it is unconstitutional. Furthermore: Matthew 18:19-Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask , it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. No where in the verse does it say to argue, or come to a disagreement. Yes we all have our views, but come on, no need to over-stress them. Love you guys.

Well to be honest, I don't agree that homosexuality or gay marriage is wrong. But I suppose, like you said, we all have our own views.

Here are a few verses I find very clear on the topic: 1 Corinthians 6 9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Romans 1: 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[a] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[b] unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
