Just wanted to let everyone know that I am reading the new book "Innocence Lost" by Elissa Wall. She was the main star witness against Warren Jeffs, as she is the woman who was forced against her will at age 14 to marry her 19 year old cousin. This book has shook me up more than "Escape" by Carolyn Jessup. No wonder, the law enforcement was really wanting to get into the FLDS compound in TX. There were even rumors that Jeffs was wanting to have this secretive compound to even perform "blood atonement" (actually killing people that he deemed "unworthy") in the temple............because it had been done in the earlier days of the Mormon church. The more that I hear about this cult..............the more my skin crawls. If even a member thinks about leaving the church.................they are separated from children........and may be followed by members of the church.
I have a feeling that we may be hearing more about this cult in the future.

I know that I am still hitting a sore subject with this situation............but, if you look on MSNBC.com, Warren Jeffs has just been indicted by a Grand Jury of sexual abuse. 5 of his followers will also be arrested, of which one of those is being charged as an accomplice for failing to report the sexual abuse of children. The article also mentioned that some of the evidence in this grand jury trial was taken from the raid in Eldorado. I know that I have gotten alot of flak from my stand on this case............which my stand is on the protection of children. Many have felt that this was an attack on religious beliefs because of the holiness dress of the women. The attack was not about the holiness dress, the whole situation on Eldorado was about the subject of sexual abuse of children hiding behind the face of religion. Sin and God cannot abide together.

Today, one 14 year old girl was put back in to foster care as she was married to Warren Jeffs. Slowly, authorities are finding out the truth. or at least having the proof about this case. I pray that they find out other of these children that are being abused.

Just read about a raid at an evangelist's compound in Arkansas. Many children are believed to have been abused there. This evangelist has a rap sheet, that shows a clear history of child abuse. It is sad to see how gullible and spirtually hungry people are, that they would take a chance to join a church like this. In my opinion, I hope that he is thrown in prison for life for abusing these poor kids.

Well, it looks as this situation is starting to come to a close, as I read on MSNBC. com that 12 girls were abused, and 7 of those had babies. What a sad, sad situation. What is also sad of the millions of dollars to prove the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt, but, it is worth it. Abuse in the name of religion.
